Dell 1800FP DVI issue..anyone experience this?

First of all, thanks in advance to those who provide some input on this matter.

I have a Dell 1800FP LCD that I was using with my PNY G4 Ti4200 with DVI.

I recently upgraded my card to an ATI Radeon 9500 Pro. Now the problem is, it was working fine until one day, I shut down my computer and after the Windows Splash screen..it will go into "Power Save Mode". I tried everything, and it will ONLY work using VGA. I changed DVI cables but to no avail. Anyone else have this issue with the Dell 1800FP? Just wanted to get some info before I send the Monitor back.

Just an FYI, my setup:

Barton 2500xp
512x Twinmos PC-3200
Epox 8RDA
ATI Radeon 9500 Pro
120GB WD HD

I've got the 1800FP Ultrasharp. Haven't had any problems, and it is hooked up through a GF4 Ti4200 using DVI.
Have you tried your old GF4 card?

i dont have that problem, but i have a dvi, power save issue as well. if i have the 1800fp plugged into my parhelia with dvi instead of vga when the screensaver turns off the monitor that power saving mode logo pops up and then it goes black like its supposed to. but then it keeps popping that power saving logo up about every 10 seconds and does that for about 5 hours(i havent paid close enough attention to know exactly) and then finally shuts itself down till i move the mouse or keyboard. i always thought it was my parhelias fault, but maybe its the monitor?

It sounds to me like you have both outputs enabled (i.e.-Multimonitor) in Windows and have the analog connector set to the primary output. Try checking your display settings tab and see if this isn't the case. To test it without going into display settings, boot connected to the DVI cable and when the splash screen goes away switch to the analog out and see if the logon screen is up on that connector.
