The colors are more vibrant on the 1800FP. However, the higher dot pitch on the 1800FP is definately noticable. I have only played games on the 2000FP and I have seen no ghosting. Microsoft's Clear Type works better on the 2000FP than the 1800FP. The large bevel (2 inches on each side, 3 inches on the bottom, 1.5 on the top) on the 2000FP is a little irritating because it takes up extra space. Bottom line: I like the 2000FP better because of the better dot pitch.
Edit: The first 2000FP I received from Dell was made in Taiwan and the left one-third of the screen was a little darker than the rest. I sent it back and they sent me one from China, which had no problems.
