I just got mine today, i paid 720 shipped. It got here in four days. I plugged it in and fired it up, all I have to say is that this thing is perfect. I went from a 17" crt, not a flat one or anything special, to this LCD. It seems much larger and it is almost liek Pixels dont exist anymore. It seems as though I am looking at a painting, or a printout from an incredible lazer printer.

If you are in the market for a 17" lcd, i would seriously look at this one. I was almost regretting buying it after I thought about how much it cost, but once I plugged it in, hit auto-adjust i never looked back.

Simply amazing.

Do you play any FPS games? If so, how do they look? I have the Sony SDM-M81 18.1" and games like UT don't look as good as I want.

Those 17" LCD's are amazing! I wasn't that impressed with the 15". Although they are just as fantastic of an image, 15" is just too small IMO. I'd gladly trade any 19" or 21" CRT monitor for a 17" LCD.

OTOH.. I was just at CDW and they had a 24" Apple branded flat LCD monitor. It looked like it was widescreen. Just amazing! It should be though at $2,500.

The 22" Apple LCD is uses the old LG Philips 22" LM220W1 screen on an Apple connector. Unfortunately, the brighness is only 180nits.

LG Philips improved on this on their new 20.1" LCD.

The real (production level) beauty is the Samsung 240T:

24"
1920x1200 widescreen
DVI + VGA
230nits brightness
450:1 contrast
25ms response time for full speed video and gaming.

I havent played any FPS games on it, i mainly use it for 3ds max, but it seems like it would work just fine. I watched a DVD on it and it looked absolutely perfect. The monitor looks bad a$$ too.
