I accidentally posted a thread in OT and not in Software like it was supposed to be... instead of simply moving it, it was deleted. Any particular reason why it wasn't moved instead?

They usually move them for n00bs and lock or delete them for people trying to get around the rules. Since a lifer knows better...

Too many people post in OT with an attitude of 'there is more traffic here so I'll get a faster answer'. Not say this is what you did, but the mods view is those threads get deleted. Now if you posted in say OS and it was a Security thread, that would be more likely to be moved...
