C:\Documents and Settings\MEH\Local Settings\Temp

this folder has got to 181mb, and whenever i try to open a readme.txt in a zip file (for example) it aks to overwrite the file in this folder. Is it ok to just delete the contents of this folder? It is mostly full of iles like ~DF6315.tmp, but there's also a few folders, including 4 folders CRF000 - 3 which looks a lot like my Audigy driver cd and takes up 120 of those 180mb's.

im not actually that bothered about the space, more the clutter and especially always getting the popup about overwtiring the readme.txt etc...

cheers

whenever you run installers and some programs they use that as temp space for whatever it is that they are doing, as the name suggests they are "temporary" files and are generally not neccisary to keep. When you open a file within a zip file the same thing happens, the file is extracted to your temporary directory and than opened.

Generally speaking you should be safe to delete the entire contents of this folder.
