Hey there, you OS gurus. Here's a problem that has been bugging me.
I have two harddrives, both of which have had Windows XP on them. I'm running my current OS off of one of them as we speak, with the other designated as a back-up drive. I wish to delete the XP files from the old one, but a few folders/files (236, to be exact) will not allow themselves to be deleted. I'm using Norton System Works 2003 WIPE function to assure that they get deleted, but they remove to budge. Here are their folder names:
$NtUninstallKB826939$
$NtUninstallKB828035$
$NtUninstallKB835732$
$NtUninstallQ828026$
$NtUninstallKB826942$
$NtUninstallKB828741$
$NtUninstallKB837001$
Does anyone know: (1) why they won't delete and (2) how to delete them?
I appreciate any help that you can offer.
