deleting emails in opera

i'm trying to delete my emails using my email program opera however the still there when i go to the actual webmail account ?how do i fully delete them can you tell me thanx

Hey Davee... this is how you do that:

Go to File and Select Preferences; in the window that pops up select email on the left side so that you see your email account in the drop down box. Select the Properties button. In the Account Properties window, select the Incoming tab and uncheck the box next to Leave messages on server . Remember that once checked, your computer is the only place where your email will be stored. Have fun using Opera... I do😎

thnx just what i wanted ive looked at a good few settings yet didn';t notice that and yehit's a great browser i hardly ever use ie now thnx again

'delete email from server after retrievel' is that it i cant find the option youmentioned im using opera 6

i still havent figured it i checked the box 'delete email from server after retrievel' and the deleted emails and emptied trash -now they are gone from opera but the serveris still full of junk emails have i a different version to yours? thnx
