I just put a new hard drive in my home PC and did a clean install of Windows XP Pro. I have two partitions on that drive. The drive that served as the boot/system drive before, is divided up into three partitions, a 10 GB primary partition and an extended partition containing two ~50 GB logical partitions. In a couple of weeks, after I have copied everything I think is important, I would like to delete the primary partition and then increase the size of the extended/logical partitions to include the generated free space. Do you think Partition Magic can do this safely? There's a lot of stuff on those two partitions I wouldn't want to lose.
Has anyone tried this before? I've used Partition Magic several times to do various jobs, but nothing like this. Thank you.
