OS is Vista Ultimate 64.

I cleaned up my start menu to only have folders in it recently. Now I am seemingly completely unable to access windows movie maker or windows fax and scan. Windows Mail and Windows DVD maker are gone too. What is going on? Did they actually put the exe in the start menu and not a shortcut? Neither program shows up when I try to search for them.

The menu items are shortcuts.

You can examine the "Start Menu" contents for "All Users" at:
c:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

You'll see that everything there is a shortcut.

MovieMaker program files should be at:
c:\program files\Movie Maker
The exectuable is "MovieMk.exe".

Vista's standard search function doesn't search the areas where the MovieMaker program is located.
