Deleted Partition - Never formatted (is all lost?)

I was reinstalling windows, and I (in a drunked stooper) decided it would be a smart idea to delete the partition on my 80 gig storage drive.
I boot from a completely different drive, so I have access to any windows software that might be able to help out. The drive was formatted in
windows 2000 NTFS. What I would like to do is either restore the partition, or just be able to save some of that data off the drive. 🙂 Any software,
or tricks that might help me accomplish this would be GREATLY appreciated!

search the forums..ther are programs that can perhaps reverse your little "snaffu"

TO ellaborate, if you formatted and it did it instantly, the computer did in fact just inform the file system that nothing was there....as in it did NOT delete your data..

IF you did in fact do a Full-fledged format, you are screewed..uless you have the money to pay for data recovery(You do not)

If any utility can do the job, it's probably SpinRite.

You might want to contact them with your problem and ask if it will work. Gibson Research has been around for a long time (since DOS days at least) and they know what they're doing.

Ah yes, I used spinrite back in the day for a problem like the one you had, where I accidentally deleted a partition and did a quickformat!!! I did use spinrite and it did indeed recover a great deal amount of stuff.. not ALL, but a fair amount. Anyway, I highly recommend it.
