Deleted masturbation poll

I did a tongue-in-cheek poll on whether people had been caught masturbating. I did a search first to see if it was an old topic or one that had been previously locked. Neither was the case. According to faq's this was the correct procedure. Now my understanding is that the mods should have deleted this thread if it was offensive (it wasn't any more than a dozen other currently active threads), or was a topic that had been previously locked (it wasn't). Otherwise (my understanding according to faq's is that) they should have locked it so that others could search and see that the subject is taboo.

I am not making a big deal out of this. My main point is that there is obviously a source of forum rules that I haven't found (a link called FORUM RULES for example). Am I ignorant of the rules or what? Until someone pointed it out in a thread in off topic asking why my thread had been deleted, I didn't even know that I should address this issue here. But that wasn't before a dozen people told me I would be banned, for what reason they wouldn't say.

I just hope that someone can point me in the direction of the rules, and not flame me for being ignorant.

That's all.

It was that or your account. Your choice.

"Missing unwritten rules is a bannable offense".
It was a pre-emptive strike. It was a juvenile thread that would have VERY QUICKLY went to pieces and got even stupider and offensive. You would have gotten comments like: ''your momma caught me then finished me off". We can't have comments like that.

Well technically we can, but I feel it is certainly more appropriate to cuss out Peter Jennings on the day of his death than bring up the totally non-educational topic of masturbation.

At least the OP's post was in the correct forum.
I was merely pointing out why the OPs post was probably locked. Albeit, tounge in cheek.
Have you taken your meds today?

"We have the ability to edit and/or remove objectionable messages. "

"These Forums reserve the right to edit or delete any message for any reason whatsoever, at our sole discretion."

These are two "rules", if you will, that might have been applied. Maybe someone found it objectionable. Maybe someone thought it was going to become objectionable. It was removed. Happens all the time. One of the ways to avoid it is not posting bodily function threads.

Oh, the quotes are from the Terms and Conditions agreed to by every member. I'd quote from the unwritten rules, but I just don't have them at hand right now. :)

Hope this helps.
