Recently I installed Mandrake 8.1 on my partitioned 60gig drive. I'm going to buy a cheap 30 or 40 gig to put it on, and for now I deleted the Mandrake partition from the 60. Even though I deleted the partition, the screen at boot still shows up where it asks me to select my operating systems under the Linux bootup selection screen (including the deleted Mandrake). Is there anyway to get rid of this without reformatting?

Boot from a DOS boot disk and type fdisk /mbr at the prompt. This will remove whichever boot manager you were using for Linux. Your pc will boot straight into windows.
