I let my 6 yr old play a game on my iphone and he returned it with 2 empty spots on one of my screens. I know there were 2 apps there that I bought from the itunes store, but how can I tell what apps were there? I cant figure out on the app store how to tell what apps i am missing.

Thanks in advance..

Are your apps synced with iTunes? You should be able to get them back by syncing your phone again.

First of all, your iTunes account has a record of all your purchases, simply log into iTunes and click purchase history.

Secondly, I am pretty sure that if you try to download an app that you previously bought, a message will come up saying 'you have already purchased this app, would you like to download it again'?

Yes, that's exactly what happens. Search your email box to see if you still have the apple confirmations of what you bought. I don't really know any other way to see what they are. Luckily if you do remember them, you won't have to re-pay.

What Zylander said - log into iTune, click on your account by clicking your user name on the upper right, then click on your purchase history. That list everything you bought. Cross-reference this with what's on your iPhone. When you find something missing, just download it again through the app store and it won't charge you for the second download since it will have the purchase in your records.

Also when you sync and iTunes see's something removed from the iPod, it will put that app's files in your recycle bin. If you haven't emptied it, you can look in there to see the file name so you know exactly what was removed.

Is punching the 6 yr old in the neck an option?

nah, he's a good kid. I think he got confused and tried to get out of a situation instead of asking dad and removed the apps.

I hadn't sync'd before then so it was a hassle syncing, removing programs, readding the programs, etc.

In the end, I realized I didn't miss the apps (yet), and removed a few more I never used and its all good. I wish there was some sort of 3rd party utility that makes you put in a password before deleting an app. Its too easy to accidentally hold down an icon too long and then click the x to remove it.
