Hi all! My laptop has been broken and of course all files for the work,family photos,videos etc have been deleted. Can they be recovered ??? One programmer advised me to use Hetman Partition Recovery,said it could help . Explain plz how to do it or advise another program, thanks!

Assuming that only the laptop is broken and you haven't done anything(partition, format, etc) to the HDD since you took it out, it can be as simple as plugging the HDD to a PC and reading from it. It can be a lot easier if you kept it in a separate partition from the OS partition.

If you've done something(partition, format, etc) to the HDD, chances of recovering is slim.

You have two factors here:

1. Does the hard drive still work (runs and readable (readable)
2. Is the drive SATA or IDE?
If SATA, just plug and play. If IDE, you will need a converter.

Many a laptop has been broken yet the files remain intact.
* How was it "broken"?
* Why do you assume all those files have been "deleted"?

Blain is spot on - what is meant by "broken." Can the laptop be booted by a CD or DVD? The HDD can be removed and accessed via an external drive case or in another computer. You may find that no files are lost.
