deleted file on network, can we get it back?

Asking for a friend... we have a directory full of docs on a network share (passworded documents of course) but mistakenly deleted the folder (using My Computer and navigating to the network drive/share)... is there any way to get it back? Recycle bin on the actual shared drive? If we can't, can the admins? Sorta don't want to involve their help desk people since they are personal files...

- WIN2k client in a corporate environment, don't know what the networked machines are...

In Windows, you can't undelete once you've deleted from a networked file share. If the Server is Server 2003 or higher, and you have Volume Shadow Copy enabled, then you can immediately restore the file/folder using the "Previous Versions" option.

Have the file/folder restored from backups.
