Hey guys,
Before I re-format this thing I just wanted to know if there was any hope of recovering my data. What happened was I disconnected my IDE drives (Ironically to prevent losing data as I was deleting some other disks) and had disabled my on board RAID. Later I re-enabled it but jumpered it incorrectly which caused one of the channels not to detect a drive. I thought the port had gone bad. I set the drive to slave and put it onto the one channel that was working and that worked. Then I deleted the array that was not working and recreated another thinking maybe since the drives have the data on them it may work. It didn't.
Once I corrected my troubles I put the drives back on seperate channels and the array was found just fine but now the drive appears unformated. Can I get my data back or is it time to reformat and restore my backup? (Thank goodness for that backup. 40 gigs worth *phew*)
