Are Americans so fucking incompetent to the point where they can't even mimic a universal health care system that's universal all over Europe?

I really wouldn't mind a slash-n'-burn restructuring of the whole thing. I'm very happy with my current health insurance, which I pay for through work. I'm happy because I have yet to be fucked over, unlike some of the horror stories I've heard. Those horror stories can apply to me to a T. Also, the non-taxable low-income folk are riding the wave and getting, while not paying in.

It's the middle class families who get fucked, and if their costs are brought down, it's a cause worth cheering for.

I know that this kind of viewpoint ruffles quite a few feathers around here, but I personally don't mind giving a little bit of my income to a program that will cover myself AND my neighbors at a lower cost to me (versus what I'm currently paying for insurance I only use in bursts, and which ends up being re-distributed anyway).

This sort of solution is fine with me, and I believe it to be a wholly Christian thing to do.
