I'm for that. I also think it would be more viable than any of the OP's 10 suggestions, especially taken together. However, I have to admit I really like the boldness of the idea of getting far more from our tax dollars while paying a third as much as we do now. That's quite amusing. He should vote Republican.

Corporations are legal fictions. Strictly speaking, corporations do not pay taxes, its shareholders do.

It seems to me that (except for #9) your plan is to bankrupt America, not make it better. Study economics, get back to us, eh? For example, how will those countries with "third world work situations" be able to improve beyond their current conditions without trade and jobs? Have you thought of that?

Class Division

I don't see a problem with class division. Some people do more ambitious things with their lives and thus make more money. I don't believe in monetary entitlement, you have to earn your keep.

Government Responsibility

America was founded on personal responsibility, not government responsibility, you may want to look into a european country, you really have the wrong idea about America.

Self sufficiency

This is curious, you want self sufficency as a nation, yet advocate no such thing on a personal level. Lazy mouth attached to societies teat is not self sufficency.

Corporate accountability

I'm going to need you to elaborate on this one.

Unfair labor practices

Such as?

Universal rights

Such as?

I can continue.

Please do.

EDIT: And I'd like to say I agree that America needs alot of changes, but I believe the changes need to go in the opposite direction of what you want. Less government, not more.

How are you going to pay for all of those things with a 10% flat tax rate? I favor a more flat rate but not nationalized health care, money caps on wealth, free 'collage' education (obviously somewhere you haven't been), caps on wealth, and allocating government money to ANY sort of "group".

"so many people".

Hmm. I suspect major recurrent depression. Seek counseling and meds.

Lets resort to personal insults instead of the issue at hand, it's always easier.

EDIT: And to OP, don't say forget it because someone doesn't agree with you. You're always entitled to your opinion. :)

If you do that you won't expand your knowledge.

Oh, and I couldn't help myself, I had to make a crack at the "collage" thing (it's spelled college), please don't take it personal it's actually a fairly common spelling error.

Don't worry about it; I wanted the thread to have every one's thoughts that would make America better. I dug my own grave I guess.

I think you're over reacting. It's a political forum, things get hot whenever politics are brought up, I don't think you should quit so easily. It doesn't make for very good debates and discussions. ;)
