I voted hell no....they might look great now on the back of a fine girl or your bicep, but imagine how they'll look when you're 80.

Oh yea... I dont see many 70-80 year old guys picking up chics, do you?

I would like to get one, but I'm having 2nd thoughts. I've also wanted to get some peircings, but since my job will probably consist of an office setting or someplace where you have to be formal, it would just be a waste of effort.

Tattoo's are sooooooo 90's. The new counterculture "look im uber rebellious" fad is body modification.

LOL, tats are 90's? Thats the stupidest thing I have ever heard...

I love seeing people with only 1 tattoo who think they are so badass, lol... I roll up my sleves, when Im not wearing a sleeveless shirt, and walk up to him and say, "Nice tat"... and he goes thanks, wait a second... oh... he was being sarcastic 🙂

Where is the.."depends on the artwork" option?

This is a good option. We have some incredible tattoo artists here in Seattle (Slave to the Needle) and the one they did for me is awesome. I had an idea for a design and they made it a reality.

Not any worse than the rest of you looks when you're 80 😛

Getting Tattoos used to be a way of standing out from a crowd, today they are used as a way to fit in. Sure, some tats are a work or art, but Tribal tats on guys and lower back tats on gals have quickly become the laughing stock, thus they become the mark of a lost sheep trying to fit in with the herd.

I think tattoos are gauche.
I like to deface my body by inserting plates in my lips, scarring my back thousands of times, and sticking bamboo through my earlobes so I can fit a dinner plate in there, too.
I also sport a magnificent penis gourd.

SP80...

You have self replied to this topic about 4 times now and each time it is devaluing the opinion of someone else just because they're justifying their thoughts. Did you start this just to argue with the people that don't go, "HELL YES! They are AMAZINGLY cool??????' Because that is the way that it is coming off.

I still have yet to vote because I'm waiting for the option of:

Some are good, some are incredibly lame....As a whole - I have to say no go because I've seen many horrible ones whether you die when you're 30 or 90. It still has to do with the artwork itself.
