I bought the thing used. Everything seems to work fine, its just running like crap. I installed Kaspersky and found a bunch of viruses and malware, no surprise since there is cracked software and limewire on installed on the thing.
I want to make a fresh start with a clean install of WinXP and fresh legit software (Mine).
Can I boot from the cable attached DVD/CD?
I can't figure out how to blow away the partition and get started.
I think I got all the needed drivers for the c400 from Dell's site and if not I'll figure out as I go, I'm just stuck on how to start.
Should I just boot and start the install from the CD while in Windows? That doesn't seem right to me, but anyhoo I'd appreciate the help.
