Hi lateef!

I had assumed that XP and MP chips were based on same core, but I don't know that for sure. I bought a 1600+ the other day and put it into an EPoX KT266A based mobo. It kicks butt! Got my fastest SETI times yet. Will post times when I have more data. I ran the box for about 8 hours, then upped the FSB to 150. It now is being reported as a 1900+!

My SETI times are consistant with what others with OC'ed MPs have reported. So, I would not be worried about your purchase. I'm still tweaking the BIOS, so I might be able to improve it a bit.
