Here's the whole ad for crapUSA's anniversary sale. There's some good deals, nothing particularly HOT... just mostly warm. You could possibly get a lappy from them, PM it with amex, and keep the 2 free gifts (I would take the PDA and monitor)

CrapUSA

Oh, and this is in PDF format.

<edit>changed topic name to compUSA as to not offend anyone! Jeez, chill out

<edit> Please delete this thread, its no fun anymore and not worth it. Posted it to help out some ppl, got nothing but crap in rely.

Thanks for the CRAPPY deal. If you think CompUSA is crap, maybe you should not post stuff by them instead of mocking them. I'm here for the deals, not your childish play on words.

edit: Thanks for changing the title. Welcome to the boards and sorry for going crazy over something so stupid. I'll be better about that sort of thing in the future if you do. Once again, I appologize.

Well, you have to admit that it takes a lot of bitterness to put a derogatory term for CompUSA 3 times in one post. So much anger....Whats up with that?

My problem with it is that if this deal actually had something "hot" mentioned in it (which it obviously doesnt) then doing a search for "comp usa" wouldn't bring up this thread. at least keep the store name properly written in the title. And if someone is that angry with a company that they have to be in attack mode then just put the editorial after the deal explanation so it can be easily ignored.

(Plus, many people here are lazy so if youre going to try to bring a hot deal then a link to their ad isnt enough. how about listing some of these "crappy" deals you found next time?) ;)

:disgust:

My god, chill out XZero! I like compusa, but if you spend your time on this forum like I've been doing this last week, you would pick up on that CrapUSA is interchangable with CompUSA. It's not a knock on the store. They occasionally have some very nice deals. I am on my way there right now to get the free optical mouse on the back page of the ad. Jeez, chill!

jus started noticing this derogatory term for "compusa" in many replies (even my own =P) and already its up in the topics!
i think using dat name for "compusa" is a bit insulting if u gonna use it in the topics... besides, they are a very competitive store, good prices, nice website, good items, great sales at times, etc... etc...

I certainly agree with that. Trying to find threads from a few days back is hard enough without having to try and guess what nicknames the poster might have used. The object of posting is supposed to be to share information - not make it harder to find.

And if the original poster thinks that the deals are only warm, then there will be more of the 80GB $99 drives, 60GB $99 drives, the $249 Internal DVD-R/Ram drives, and the 17 free items (including 45min phone cards, keyboards, compressed air, and RAM) for the rest of us. (I believe that these items involve rebates)

I called these warm deals because there's not anything that is "OH MY GOD I HAVE TO RUN OUT TO THE STORE RIGHT NOW AND GET THIS" like with some other deals. There are some nice deals. The 80gb HD is only 5400rpm, so if I were in the market for an 80gb hard drive, I would rather spend $140 from Newegg, and get the 80gb 7200 rpm drive. The 5400 rpm drive is a nice 2nd drive. Oh, and I agree, the $249 DVD-R/RAM deal is HOT, I forgot about that when I made the post. Sheesh, just chill out.

Beware the Ides of March (and alleged CompUSA rebates). Been waiting on 7 CompUSA rebates since September. If you have the time to waste calling them every week, and waiting 4 months for your money (which is the average for their rebate company) and even then possibly not getting it, go for it.

The optical mouse I see on the back page is Kensington 289525 for $4.99 after $10 mfr MIR .

There is a thread from Thursday which disusses all the deals. You might want to check it for information: HOTT stuff going on sale this weekend @ compusa

So, if I say x1Dunce1x in place of your original name you won't be offended?

This should make it clear for everyone.

This is decent. But keep in mind it is not the P4 compatible model and CompUSA screwed up the rebate. When you investigate you find out it is really $10 not the $20 they advertise. They are confusing the $20 from a Antec Case rebate.

oh my god, this is unbelieveable how everyone flips out over a simple use of CRapUSA, i personally will tend to refer to themas that because they have screwed me in the past, but to each his own, i wouldn't take offense if you referred to my place of business badly, nor if you did my favorite store, chill people

take your ritalin and relax

<< . But keep in mind it is not the P4 compatible mode >>

Hurikane:

Where did you get the model #, I don't see it in the add???

Can anyone verify the model number of this power supply? Antec lists two 400wat PSes the 412x (P4 compatible) and 403x.

I have the antec 303xp and the design is horrible. Air intake is not on the bottom to take warm air off the CPU but on the side. Higher end models look better designed and may improve cooling?
