delete all devices in xp?

I just updated my system but i left my windows installation intact. my old and new mobos are nforce2's but windows xp is listing some devices with a #2 next to them, and it is not detecting my logitech mouse properly. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling mouseware(logitech mouse driver suite) to no avail. I also tried doing a 'repair installation' from the xp cd to force it to redetect everything...but there seems to be hidden devices not listed in device manager that need to be removed....is there a way to do this?

You need a reg tweak to make the hidden devices appear in the device manager. Then you can remove them and clean things up.

hmm...i added that entry and it doesnt show any devices other than what i have...

right click my computer>device manager>veiw>select show hidden devices.
