Delayed Write Failed message when I manage files

Every so often when managing files with my C drive only (this error message does not pop up when I use my other drive) I receive a message stating Delayed Write Failed. I browsed online, and it seems to be a problem with my harddrive (software, not hardware). What can I do to solve this problem?
