Delayed system write failure

I had a recent problem involving my second drive, after a half hour (approximately) of my computer running I get a Delayed system write failure on my second drive usually with the error writing to D:/$(letters here) or System Value something... so I restarted in safe moode and ran some diagnostics, repaired the MBR, and used a program to fix the boot sector, and that worked to get windows to see the drive again, but than after a half hour, the same message came up. Any ideas on why I'm having this continual problem ? thanks.

Download and run the hard drive diagnostic software from the drive manufacturer to see if the drive is still good. Otherwise, check to see if the IDE/SATA connection between the drive and motherboard is good. If you're using IDE, make sure that you use the 80-wire cable instead of the old 40-wire cable.
