I would have to disagree. The plan of selling PS2's at $99 is aimed towards parents who are cost concious, not technology consious. Like ever other industry, there are the few like some of us here who will go out and purchase the 360 no matter what. But if Sony starts advertising a PS2 at $99, all of these parents who have been holding out buying one for their kids because of the $149 price will now get one. They go to the store and see an XBOX360 that's $300, or the PS2 (which they've most likely heard of) for $99, which do you think they will buy?
