ive been thinking about this quite a bit lately... does anyone here ever have deja vu? i get it a lot.... like once a week... and i remember seeing that situation in my dreams a week, month, or sometimes a year ago. anyway... wouldnt this mean that your life is predetermined? if u can see your future before it happens wouldnt that mean that you cant change it... hence life is predetermined?

I've had it before, its just a sensation.

Edit: Some things are predetermined.

No, it just means your life is boring and you do the same $hit day after day, so when you think you had deja vu, its just the same thing that happened yesterday happening again and you are just too bored to realize it. Or maybe it was a glitch in the matrix that we are fixing right now...

Yes, I have it sometimes and it usually scares me b/c you think, "I remember/recognize this exact situation and from my memory it seems like something bad is about to happen.", but then it rarely does and everything is ok. But it is still freaky and I wonder why it happens.

I've heard that deja vu is a product of your long term memory working faster then your short term memory... so it seems like you remember it from some other time when really you didn't....

so maybe the OP is a mega pot head, hehe:p

Deja Vu happens because one eye becomes unsynchronized with the other and your brain processes both images consecutively as opposed to concurrently.

Edit: Or at least, thats what I've read anyway. I wonder if people with one eye get Deja Vu. That would but a huge hole through that theory.

I read somewhere that Deja Vu is actually when your brain creates a memory of what is happening in the present and stores it in the past in your memory so you "remember" it when in actuality it was just created.

You reading the same post over and over again doesn't make it Deja Vu.

And for those of you who think you've dreamt or seen the place or event before, why is it that you don't remember it till you're in the situation already?
