Dehydrated Water

I posted this on the Hot Deal forum, but on one seems to have ever tried it before. Has anyone ever had this stuff? The first time I saw it, I thought it was a joke, but now I think they are for real. I'm thinking of spending the $5.00 to try some out. 50 gallons for $5.00 is not a bad deal.

That doesn't sound possible. Dehydration is the process of taking the water out of something. What do you have when you take the water ouf of water?

Response: Why does everyone think they have to drink dehydrated water?! It's like saying how do I drink ice cream? Yes, you can change the state of the product by heating it, cooling it, adding water, but why? Just enjoy it in its natural dehydrated form.

This is one of the funniest threads ever!

That dehydrated water is really just like regular water, but without the hydrogen and the oxygen. :p

The site has been around for a long time now, so it's not like someone just whipped it up yesterday. I'm very weary about buying from them but it's only $5.00. The only problem is if they start using your CC number for other stuff (look at employee benefits...)

heh...reminds me of the Stephen Wright joke:

"I bought some dehydrated water but I don't know what to add to it."


And, did you all hear about some radio station was making claims of their city/county/whatever water supply being filled with dihydrogen monoxide? They went on with all kinds of stuff about boiling will eliminate the chemical (duh), drinking a lot of it will cause frequent urination (heh heh), etc.

Hey, Roger Wilco had some dehydrated water in Space Quest 1. He was even able to use it to blow up an orat! So to all you ney-sayers, learn from Roger Wilco and don't put down dehydrated water's usefulness so quickly! :p

Water has a specific density of 62.4 lbs per cubic foot. Period. You can *purify* water by boiling it, catching the steam, and condensing the steam in another container, but you still end up with good ol' bowling-ball-butt water. This site is a joke. Do you know how something is dehydrated? You heat it! What happens when you heat water? It changes to steam. Nothing left in the pot. This is one of those "try at home" things. Boil some water in a pot and watch it. Yes, it will boil. Watch the water leave the pot. Look in the pot and ask yourself, do I want to spend $5 on this? If you want to send them $5 and report back that you are an idiot, go ahead.
