The regulars here know the fistfight I've had with this game as it destroyed my WinXP install, forced me to try different drivers and deal with general flakiness and stupidity. I've been able to keep it running and have gotten almost to the end.

(IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED PLAYING MOHAA, STOP READING, SPOILERS MAY BE AHEAD!)

I'm in the last building and I've set the three charges and turned on the gas. I get into the elevator that goes up and it clicks and says "Objective added" or completed and fades out, bringing up the blue soldiers loading screen. It gets about 35% into loading and then, PFFTT...it crashes to the Desktop and this is what's on the console:

RE_Shutdown( 1 )
Shutting down OpenGL subsystem
...wglMakeCurrent( NULL, NULL ): success
...deleting GL context: success
...releasing DC: success
...hiding window
...destroying window
...window successfully destroyed
...resetting display
...shutting down QGL
...unloading OpenGL DLL
-----------------------
----- Server Shutdown -----
---------------------------
FS_ReadFile with empty name

I've tried the usually t-shooting stuff with no success. Is there a way I can load the next level manually? The Load Game screen shows my last Quick Save, but obviously hasn't noted the next level being loaded.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Enter the console (press tilde "~" key).

Type (without the quotation marks) "maplist". Press "enter" key.

Double click on any of the map names (xxxxx.bsp) in the pop-up box. This will load the map. You may need to try several to find the particluar map you are looking for, I can't remember the name of the one you want.

Thanks, Borked!!! Worked like a charm and I was able to finish the game. It took a few tries to get the right map up, but it didn't crash again.

I'm glad to have helped.

Sorry about the frowning icon at the start of my previous message. I didn't mean to do that.

It automatically picks up the icon that the intial post used unless it's manually changed. I switched my first post icon when I edited the subject line.

Welcome to ATF!:)
