hi:)
i posted awhile back asking what was better to use - Nortons speed disk or disk keeper 7 and i think the majority suggested nortons but i have a few questions that i cant seem to find answers for on any reviews. so i have a few questions here:

1. can anyone point me to a good review that compares these 2 and the defragmentor that comes with xp pro?

2. are the claims these companies make about speeding up your system by huge percentages actaully true?

3. is buying nortons or disk keeper worth it over just using the winxp lite version of disk keeper?

thanks in advance for any help or info :)

No. The only people who might notice a difference are audio/video processing people who need ~2ms latency for processing realtime data. And most of the time they have 1 large, fast drive dedicated to capture data so it has no chance of getting fragmented.

Maybe, the best feature is probably the ability to schedule defrags which you can't do with the builtin defragger.

I was a Nortons SPEEDISK guy but after going through some SPEEDISK problems like not completing a defrag on my C: with no matter what I did I searched around and DL'd Disk keeper 7.

Disk keeper 7is far superior (to me) when Nortons SPEEDISK would not work correctly I would then tryDisk keeper 7 and it always worked with out any problem also its MUCH faster then Nortons SPEEDISK, if you buy it at the retail stores it sales for $49.00 but if you DL it from their sit its only$29.00.

Why don't you DL the demo, last for 30 days and see if you like it :) I think that you will.
