OK I got Win XP Pro with Diskeeper lite that comes with it and when I defrg once I am presented with a chart with lots of white space between the blue, and I have a friend that says to just keep defragging until it's all as close together as it will get and performance will be wonderful. Any truth to it or is once or twice more than plenty?

once is probably fine. after all, the idea is to save time, right? but if you sit there for 3 hours defragging, you didn't save yourself any time.

This nice thing about disk keeper is that you can set it to run when your screen saver is on. so you don't really waste any of your own time.
