I guess the good thing is that it took like 3 minutes to complete! Upside of a small drive and the high RPM. Please note, this is NOT a major issue, just wondering wehy need to defrag on 2nd day of use.
What is telling you that you need to defrag? Unless you've installed/uninstalled a lot of applications and drivers, or done a fresh OS install or repair, in the last 2 days a defrag shouldn't be necessary.
Local disk C. I went to check to see if it needed defragmenting, and after I analyzed it, it read "You should defragment this volume" Bear in mind that "C" drive is a brand new drive, and had just been formatted and WinXP installed onto it. After analysis, the drive looked like a Christmas tree with red and blue lights spread all over the place.
It is because it is a fresh install. Files were just dumped on the drive, temp files for the install were loaded and removed a few times.... it's normal
