defrag could not complete?

XP could not complete a defrag, is there a simple solution to fix this?

that fixed it, any reason for needing to run the command, i mean how does windows get to that point.
 
A number of reasons -- crash in the midst of writing data, torrent app not properly closing up files when you quit a download, apps not closing up properly, rebooting with open apps, etc. As long as its fixed, I wouldn't worry about it.
