Looking to buy a 24" LCD...the dell price of $680 is pretty nice, but i've seen mixed reviews on both.

I have a 2nd 2005FPW that i'll probably use for gaming for its lower resolution, and plan to buy the samsung 24" that matches perfectly.
i've read many things about each, but they all seem to be conflicting.
Some say the 2407 has banding, or that the latest rev. its fixed but now has color oversaturation.
Some say the BenQ only does 1:1 and doesn't do scaling, I still play some old games that only do 640x480 - this would NOT be good for homestar runner... others say it does both.
Some say neither support 1080p...some say both do...wtf!
