Defensive Driving: Best way to take it and where? Online or In class

There are dozens of online places to take it but I am not sure which one would be the best. I rented the videos from blockbuster last time but that sucked horribly. What is the best online place to take Defensive Driving. Im in Texas so obviously it needs to be Texas approved. I have a lot of downtime (network admin) so I figure I can just take it online and just answer the questions when they pop up.

Also, does the DDriving window have to be the active window for it to count for the 6 hours? NO I surfed AT while the videos played. Almost all common sense.

Update: I did the defensivedriving.com course. It was pretty good. I absolutely hated the video and sound quality because I couldnt understand what was being said. I would drather talk to a dell csr in india then watch those videos. Also, they need to update the "age" of the videos, they were mostly 80s-early 90s. Come on.

I've taken the class before, and it's not that bad. My friend took the online class and he said it really does take about 6 hours to complete, so you wouldn't save a lot of time. It is a lot more convenient though.

i took one online that really wasn't that bad. there is a timer on each page, and etc etc. i mean it still sucks, but at least you can watch tv and stuff. they keep you honest by asking personal question, license plate number, town you were born in, ect. I think i typed in defeensive driving in google, and picked the first one.

my gf on the other hand just tok a diff online course, and it was terrible. the movies were horrible, and i felt like hers took longer.

the one i took was defensivedriving.com

I took the defensivedriving.com one also. Quite a few of the personal questions, and then it had timed questions over the reading material every so many pages. Most of the time I had to wait around for the timer to catch up with me, because I would quickly read through each section and answer the questions before with time to spare.

yes waiting for the timer on the online one sucks. I actually enjoyed the in person one. I would go to the in person one.

did one of teh comedy ones (in TX). guy was stupid, was very hungover, but I got it done in one day. not as convenient as doing it online, but i got it out of the way quicker. one day of pain for me was better than multiple nights of that bs (and having it hanging over my head).

I thought you meant a real course, where you actually get tossed into real-life scenarios. What's with learning to drive defensively online/from videos? 😕
