Defender vs. System Center Endpoint Protection?

So I was wondering, what do you guys think is better:

Windows Defender (the upcoming version is said to have better detection of suspicious network connections/malware behavior)

System Center Endpoint Protection 2012 standalone

I seem to recall some people saying that they have very similar engines?
