I recently got a Planar 17' LCD monitor. First off theres two problems.

1. I cant get the monitor to work at anything above 1024x768. It will just show about 80% of the right side with losts of flickering. While on the left side all i get is a black background with a bunch of vertical green lines coming down. Then the screen goes black for 2secs, comes back then repeats the process. I've updated to the latest cat drivers 3.8 Didnt help.
I've checked my cables already.

2. Also for anyone who has the same model i cant get the first OSD Menu (Page1) to select anything other then "contrast". The rest of the pages i can select and controll everything.

Anyone have any ideas?

btw its connected via DVI with a Radeon 8500

Sounds like a defective LCD,btw did you try it with a normal VGA analog cable,do you get the same problem?

Using DVI mode does on most LCDs limit the amount of manual controls you`ve for OSD, with my Samsung 191T I lose contrast, colour controls via OSD when in DVI mode.

Btw install the LCD monitor drivers(if you`ve them) as well.

You can check your video card is ok by hooking it up to a normal CRT monitor.
