Defeating Sony's openMG

I have a Sony Mp3 player. I love it and would use it a lot more if it was easier to get normal Mp3's onto it. Sony uses the openMG copy right protection. I've noticed that it doesn't always work the best and the most annoying thing is that I have to change all my current Mp3's to the openMG format before I can play on the player. Has anyone gotten a way around the openMG Sony Mp3 players such that conventional Mp3's can be played on it!

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks:D

here's the thing. let's say you have 2 gigs of Mp3's already. it means that if you want to keep them in openMG format, you'll have to use another 2 gigs of HD space. That's not even the big thing, it's taking the time to do it. I'd be glad to trade it to you for something...

my cousin had the Sony Personal Walkman, and she asked me to get some songs on it...

that thing was a pain in the butt, considering I had to convert the songs on an AMD K6 300......

Bad thing is that you can't put MP3s on it, and it ain't worth the 200 bux they're asking...

Ya, I have the NW-MS7 or something. that thing was like almost $300 dollars. And your right, it does not play regular Mp3's. You really have to committ entirely to the openMG format. I figured that someone out there got to have the same frustrations with Sony. Perhaps they are much smarter then I and have found a way to get around it. I only hope...
