default "save to/in" folder

A user at my office is wondering if when she saves a document (in MS Word XP), the pop-up window will already be at the directory she wants to save at (on a network drive) rather than at her desktop and she has to click all the way down into the folder. How's this done? This is Windows XP Pro.
