Default on Dual Boot

I'm not sure if this is the right catagory to post this under but, oh well

I have both microsoft XP and microsoft ME on dual boot, but ME is the default, and I hardly use it. I looked for a boot.ini on my computer but i couldnt find it.... Is there an alternate method to do this,... if i made a boot.ini file in c:/ would it hurt my puter?..... I just need xp to be the default...

Of course it's there. Explorer is simply not displaying system or hidden files, so change the setting. Or, in Start menu's Run window, enter c:\boot.ini and it will open in Notepad. Or, in Control Panel startup settings you can change the default (I'm assuming XP is the same as w2k).

The simplest way to change the boot preferences is in Windows XP right-click on My Computer >> Properties >> Advanced >> Startup and Recovery >> Settings and just choose the default OS ;-)

Good luck!
