Default Monitor with Geforce 256 DDR

Ok, I have a Hercules Prophet Geforce 256 DDR-DVI. Ever since I installed Win2K (long time ago) my monitor has not gone into sleep mode with drviers installed for this video card. If drivers aren't installed, however, my monitor is detected and can sleep. Otherwise, the monitor is deteced as "Default Monitor" and the options to change its driver is greyed out.

Currently I'm running
Win2K
AMD TBird 900
256MB PC133 Cl2 Crucial
Asus A7V
VIA 4 in 1 (whatever the latest are)
Nvidia reference Drivers 21.83 (have tried pretty much every driver available though)

Any suggestions?
