default gatway, DSN, key ports...error.

hello... just updated my pc. everything's been fine internet wise until i installed windows service pack 3, now it says my internet connection is connected but i cant get on internet.
same with wireless... it now says status: limited or no connectivity. ( baring in mind that the signal is verygood and speed 54.0Mbps.


i tried to connected to MSN messenger. went to trouble shooting and the test result erroredon DNS... and key ports. Now it says my gateway appears to be offline.

can anyone help me fix this? i have no idea what to do!

I'm on my laptop at the moment.
 
Do you connect through your own router? Try statically assigning the ip address/dns servers and see if you can ping your router?
