has anyone thought about the idea of letting us choose a default forum category on login? i know its not that big of a deal to click on the forum of my choice, but it would be convenient and easy to implement i think.
 
Yep, bookmarks, baby. Throw a couple bookmarks to your favorite categories and/or current thread(s) and you're good to go.

Hmm, just caught your other comment. Hmm.. You could create the bookmarks, throw them on a floppy and take them with you.
