My Lenovo T60 laptop, when I click a seller's email address at Craigslist opens my preferred email program, Forte Agent with the message already composed, subject filled in, To field filled out, neat.

But when I do it on my Acer Vista laptop, it opens Windows Mail with the same message, not the Forte Agent, which I use there for email as well.

How can I get the Vista machine to use Agent and not Windows Mail? I've been searching and can't find it. When I go to choose default programs, my Forte Agent isn't in the list.

Control Panel Default, Programs.
But my Forte Agent is not in the list of programs I can choose from. I see no way I can add to the list of programs.

I just ran the wizard to run Forte Agent in compatibility mode, and since I don't have this problem when run on an XP SP2 machine, I chose that compatibility mode. However, nothing has changed except that now when Agent is launched I have to Allow it to run. Looks like I'll have to run the wizard again and remove the new settings.

I found in Firefox when I can change the program associated with mailto, and I browsed and pointed it to my agent.exe. However, now when I click an email address at Craigslist I get an error message:

Unable to open INI file C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\mailto:sale-fe2jh-1935subject=Pentax%20Digital%20SLR%20K100D%20-%24300etc.etc.

I did undo the damage I got when I tried to run Agent in compatibility mode. Even when I set it no no mode, but just run as administrator, Vista insisted on getting my permission to run the program every time it opened. That I don't need.
