Default CPU settings for AMD XP 1700+

Hey everyone.

Today i got my 8rda+ and xp 1700+ from newegg. When i booted up, it registered my clock speed as 1100 (11 multiplier x 100 fsb). I seems to remember xp 1700's being 1.4ghz. I went into the bios and the multiplier was set on default so i guess default means 11. do i raise my FSB or do i raise the multiplier?. did i get a funny cpu or something?

Thanks all

For the millionth time, set the FSB to 133MHz. And the stock speed of an XP 1700+ is 1.47GHz (11x133MHz) not 1.4GHz.

Geez, when will people learn to read their manuals or their newegg order form for that matter, which states that the FSB is 133MHz and that the CPU is 1.47GHz. I just don't get it, how can you spend your hard earned money on a new processor and not even know how fast it runs?
