w-t-f

This industry is about to get fucking pwned...

and yet 70% of spills are still due to tankers, which we're about to become even more dependent upon, according to The Atlantic

ok buddy... lets nuke it all. Or wait better yet just fucking let everything leak all over and make gas .50 a gallon. Freemarkets will clean the mess up.

I'm guessing the tanker industry has a boatload of regulation coming their way..

that's nice. i guess one can't have a rational discussion about rational regulation and a rational energy policy.

probably so, but who knows. the admin will be so focused on the offshore industry that they might not think of it.

I suspect that's a pretty meaningless % in terms of total volume of oil spilled...

I know :( Thats how I felt when I first heard this "logic"

I think they could handle a couple things at one time. Maybe one of our republican friends who think this is a greater danger then 3 oil leaks in the gulf from drilling could tell them :hmm:

No need to be pointing fingers at this time . Get the leaks plugged. Than play blame game ,

I am starting to believe People are completely unaware of the magnatude of this spill. Its not just the Gulf thats at risk here . Its the entire eastern sea board first.Than western europe . What about the Ocean life in the atlantic . Its now confirmed their are plumes that are not making it to the surfice as BP claimed. We have found plumes 3000 feet down 100s of miles from the spill. This thing won't be plugged until august . Our scientist are also saying BP is lying about the amount thats still escaping the Cap. They also are saying BP is lieing about the actual flow. After BP cut the pipe so as to put containment cap on it became an open flow pipe which in fact can push out 100,000 barrels a day . That could be gallons as I can't recall the exact wording . But its alot more than BP is saying. People are beginning to report the red colored sea water in wider areas now . Damnation is upon us. If this thing pours out oil till aug. All life in atlantic above 3000 feet is endanger . The shores of the entire Alantic basin are at risk . The Food chain destroyed . Lively hoods destroyed. Take this diaster along with the honey bee shipment to areas were they was vanhished was destroyed in a shipping wreck about a month ago . Another food chain break . Interesting times we live in .

Obama is re-targeting the ICBMs, 1 for each Offshore drilling rig. Soon these problems will be solved in 10 minutes flat.

i do have to wonder about that. 70% of volume or 70% of incidents?

lots of numbers

looks like tankers have been getting safer and safer.

exxon valdez is only 35th on the list of largest tanker spills
