Deep Purple - Sometimes I feel like screaming: Anyone knows this song?

OK,
a friend of mine played first Starway to heaven on his guitar, and then we listened to this song. I nearly died cuz this song is SO amazing... just wanted to share my thoughts.

it's a..... "fly-away" song.... well my friend played it on his guitar, and then, he showed me the song Sometimes I feel like screaming .... I nearly cried it was just AWESOME

well... both are EXTREMLY nice songs........ and my friend played it on the guitar so EXTREMLY AWESOME, that he had to show me another slow song....

Hate to rain on your parade but Stairway to Heaven is the first song every kid learns how to play when they pick up a guitar.I'm sure your friend played it good as we can tell by your enthusiasm but if you really want to be impressed try to get a hold of the movie The Song Remains The Same and watch Jimmy Page play it on a double neck.

You don't understand. This guy LIVES for music. He practices at least 3 hours a day. He's a Guns'n'Roses fan, he knows the lyrics of EVERY song from EVERY album they ever came out. He's got an Inquiry of one of the most talented young rock-bands in Switzerland, but he doesn't want to play with them, cuz he can't travel 70km for every practice-session. Maybe I can record a solo from him, and send it to you as an MP3, and then you can judge him. Belive me, this guy is AWESOME

Johnny, what mkes Jimmy Page great is not that most players can't do what he did, it's that no one ever thought of what he did before he did it.

Jimmy's stuff is actually pretty easy to duplicate. But at the time, it was so revolutionary. Just about any halfway decent guitar player I know can duplicate Jimmy's stuff with the same feeling and intensity, and even cleaner (Jimmy Page was a very sloppy player -- but I say that added to his &quot;rawness&quot. It's not that hard.
