Deep frying shrimp?

Why make an aorta clogger?

Marinade the shrimp in lime juice and garlic put it on a skewer and grill it. You will love it.

Head and peel shrimp, leaving tail section. Dredge in fish fry (corn flour) mixed with Tony Chachere's. Drop in boiling vegetable oil. Or you can soak the shrimp in beer first, then dredge and fry. It doesn't get much easier than that!

Blend well. 🙂

Please pay cash at Red Lobster. If you have to finance dinner then you shouldn't be eating out.

Ok, so we shouldn't eat fried foods and we shouldn't use credit cards when eating out.

Any other tips on how we should live our lives, zbalat?

Tempura?

Edit
Take the shells off and dip it into a tempura batter mix then deep fry? Dont know of any tempura batter mixes off the top of my head...

Everything tastes better deepfried. Don't listen to these people, they must not have had good deep fried food. Anyways, I don't like shrimp, so I can't offer any recipes. Sorry. 🙂

Who said anything about financing it? Might wanna get yourself a finance manager, cause you don't seem too bright on finances....

Pay cash --

- Get $$$ from ATM machine = $2.50 fee
- Drive to ATM machine = $3.00 gas
- Drive to ATM machine = $3.00 labor (My time is money)
-TOTAL COST = $8.50 Plus dining expenses

Pay with 0% credit card and pay your balance on time --

- Zero cost
- Pay at restaurant
-TOTAL COST = $0 Plus dining expenses

Like werk said. You can also dredge in beaten eggs , use general purpouse flour, add Tony Chachere's (or salt & pepper) to flour. Then fry at 360 degrees till they float (golden brown). Don't fry too long or they will be like rubber.

How do you like it? Tempura style? Batter style? Cornmeal/Flour style?

You can buy mixes in any grocery store to do any of them. I prefer the Cornmeal/Flour style. I just mix salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper with about 2 cups of corn meal and 3/4-1 cup of flour. Throw it in a bag. I peel my shrimp, leaving the tail on, and toss them in the bag and shake shake shake and fry until golden brown. (2-3 minutes - anything more will overcook the shrimp) Your oil should be at 350-375 degrees - anything less and it will come out greasy.

If you don't want to mix the ingredients yourself, there are premade fishfry mixes like I said - those are usually seasoned well.
