While I agree with your firs part, in regards to the 2nd part, nobody really cares about the AFC do they? :)

Spoken like a true Favre and lifelong Vikings fan :awe:

quite honestly, i DON'T care about the AFC East or West (or NFC East or West for that matter)

thats not too bad considering how crazy of a year it has been. i dont think anyone even the "experts" could have predicted much better.

I haven't read through the thread yet, but :

Superbowl
Bengals over Cowboys – Carson Palmer finally gets his due

Just wanted to point that out :D

Agreed, those were good predictions all things considered.

still, you're the only one consistent enough to have balls to make the thread every year, and you take your lumps like a man

No one expected the Cults to be entirely on the injured reserved list, the loss of Randy Moss to be the best thing ever to happen to the Pats, or the Steelers to stay strong with the Rothenberger ordeal.

The Cowboys and Bengals winning their division was a risky prediction!

Before Michael Turner got hurt, he was on pace for a 1267 yard 15 TD season. I expect him to put up big numbers this year.

The biggest problems with the Falcons last year was injury (Matt Ryan missing 4 games) and the secondary, still won around 9 games. With an easier schedule and a better secondary (Dunta Robinson), the Falcons should win around 11-12 games.

I guess I underestimated the Falcons a bit. Hopefully they win the Super Bowl this year but they should be yearly contenders as long as Matt Ryan is around.

Playoff Predictions:

Wildcard
Saints @ Seahawks - Talk about overmatched. The Seahawks are a pretty terrible team. They're very inconsistent. The Saints aren't the same as they were last year, but they should blow through the Seahawks
Jets @ Colts - Earlier in the season, I'd have gone with the Jets - but they've been flat lately. Peyton continues to have Ryan's number
Packers @ Eagles - This will be a close one. The Eagles are pretty banged up, but they've got home field advantage. If they run the ball enough, I'd go with the Eagles - but its Reid, they won't, so I'm picking the Packers.
Ravens @ Chiefs - I still have a hard time believing the Chiefs are that good, and I'm sticking to it. Ravens win on the road.

Divisional
Ravens @ Patriots - The Patriots look unstoppable lately, and at home they roll over the Ravens.
Packers @ Faclons - The Falcons finished with the top seed, but they weren't nearly as good against playoff teams, and they had a pretty easy schedule, Aaron Rodgers comes in and pulls off the upset
Colts @ Steelers - The Steelers play the Colts tough, and this is a low scoring game - but the Colts pull it out in the end.
Saints @ Bears - Bears defense slows the Saints in a cold, wintery environment. Bears pull it out.

Championship
Colts @ Patriots - The Patriots won this matchup close, earlier in the season. Defying the odds, the Colts pull it out in the rematch, earning their second straight superbowl trip
Packers @ Bears - A classic NFC North matchup for the conference championship - the Bears pull out a lower scoring victory

Superbowl
Bears vs Colts - A rematch of the 2006 Superbowl favors the Colts this time in the closed Cowboys stadium. Colts win big.

[note: I meant to post this earlier in the day. Despite the Seahawks already winning, I'm posting this with the comment/result I would have gone with before the game]

Yeah, Bengals over Cowboys looks pretty funny right now ;) But this was definitely a weird season.

You win some, you lose some. I would've never picked the Colts to go all the way this late in the season given that 1/3 of the team was on IR and they had several other people out with injuries on top of that.
