That,s not really a fair comparison. They are two very different boards, the 780g one is more of a htpc board and the 790gx excells at overclocking and x-fire. I would personally get the 2nd one because it has the newer chipset and has x-fire and its full atx which is better for most pc's IMO.
 
They're not the same chipset, as has already been pointed out.

For what it's worth, were the two boards the same chipset and form factor, I'd pick gigabyte because of their reputation, reliability and customer service.
